What is Magha Yoga®?
Magha Yoga™ is a practice that stems from ancient yoga techniques. It was developed to cleanse and connect the body, mind and emotions. The ultimate goal of yoga, which translates to "union,” is to unify the mind, body and emotions, and to reach a state of higher consciousness and self-awareness. This self-awareness will bring about an autonomy with one's own health.
We live in a fast-paced world where distractions to the unification process are inevitable if one is not aware of them. Magha Yoga™ uses specific techniques to first, cleanse each element, and then maintain a balanced and harmonious state.
How is Magha Yoga® different?
Yoga has been around for more than 5,000 years. It was first created in India and was only introduced to the West in the late 1800s. As yoga grew in America, it also, for the most part, became a diluted form of the ancient yogic ways. Generally, when people hear "yoga" they think of extreme flexibility and physical postures. A typical modern-day yoga session consists mostly of maneuvering the body in a group setting – while the mental and emotional portions are often overlooked. Magha Yoga™ aims to balance and unify all three elements in a private setting, providing each individual the independence to take care of their own health needs.
